Indoor Quality Testing

While these inspections can be performed seperately, it is usually best to perform them both during the same visit.  A visual mold inspection is usually performed using various instruments to determine the presence of mold.  Particular attention is paid to determine the presence of water seepage or possible seepage into seen and unseen areas of a house or building.  Elimination of water seepage and/or dampness, is key to preventing mold.

An indoor air quality test is perfomed to determine the quality of indoor air as it compares to the air directly outside.  These test tend to be ambigous as people react differently to mold and mold spores that are constantly in the air we breathe both inside and out.  While it is common, even expected, to have a higher mold spore count indoors; there is no conclusive level that determines an individual's reaction.
